Amani Lewis (b. 1994) is a Miami and Baltimore-based artist whose dynamic, mixed-media paintings foreground their subject’s humanity, agency, and inner resilience. His creative process incorporates photography, digital collage, screen-printing, and luminous textures into kaleidoscopic, large-scale portraits. Using expansive patterns of pulsating colors, Lewis recognizes the power and beauty in every individual’s story, cumulatively raising their voice for Black and queer communities at large.
